The Monks Visit their Neighbors

740_IMG_2593

Every year on the Feast of St. Scholastica, the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration invite the monks over to their monastery for Evening Prayer and supper.  St. Scholastica is the sister of St. Benedict.  It is an event that we always look forward to. The monks arrived around 5:00pm on another cold winter day.

I have never been to Clyde and had a bad meal.  We were served roast beef, green beans, and mashed potatoes.740_IMG_2646 740_IMG_2655

The monks return the hospitality during Easter week, when we have the sisters over for prayer and a meal.
