Conception Abbey: 150 Years of Tradition
“So that in all things God may be glorified.” – Rule of St. Benedict
Conception Abbey is a Benedictine monastery located in northwest Missouri where all we do is dedicated to the glory of God as St. Benedict instructs in his Rule. For 150 years now, we have existed to praise God in our daily cycle of prayer and work, welcome guests, educate future priests, and share the Gospel. Conception Abbey celebrates 150 years
Sunday, December 10 | Mass and luncheon
As we commemorate 150 years of Benedictine life at Conception Abbey, we pause to honor our heritage and the rich history of our community, and to ask God’s continued grace and guidance as we move forward.
The monks of Conception Abbey invite you to attend Mass and a light luncheon on Sunday, December 10, in honor of their 150th anniversary here in northwest Missouri. Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., with Abbot Benedict Neenan celebrating Mass and Fr. Paul Sheller giving the homily. Afterwards, a light lunch will be served to those who wish to stay.
