Kairos Retreat

Early this afternoon I will be heading to the Franciscan Retreat Center in Independence, Missouri to help out and be a “Benedictine presence” at a youth retreat.  The kids on retreat are from Rockhurst High School in Kansas City.  They have been on retreat since Tuesday, but I will have Mass for them this afternoon and hear confessions tonight.  Last night, when I was getting ready for bed around 9:00pm, I was looking ahead at the next day’s retreat schedule, and I saw that confessions begin around 11:15pm (!).  Looks like it will be a late night for me.  I will stay the night and have Mass for the group on Friday afternoon before they depart.
