Registration open for 10th Annual SOS

The 10th Annual Support Our Seminarians (SOS) dinner-auction will be Jan. 31, 2003, at the Hyatt Regency at Crown Center in Kansas City.

The event, which has raised more than $1.2 million in the past decade for Conception Seminary College and seminarians from the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, will include a banquet, followed by silent and live auctions. The cost is $125 a person. Tables of 10 are available as well, along with a variety of special packages that include valet parking, hotel rooms and other gifts.

Each student at CSC is charged $15,680 for room and board and tuition. Thanks to a subsidy from Conception Abbey, no student pays the full amount, which is $27,000. But with enrollment steadily increasing, more scholarship money is needed. A portion of the money raised at SOS helps offset these costs.
