John Cordes (C97-99) ordained transitional deacon Nov. 30 in Topeka for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.

John Hornicak (PT98-99) was ordained transitional deacon Oct. 25 in Romeoville, Ill., for the Diocese of Joliet.

Bro. Simon Le, CMC (C92-96) and Bro. Philip Tran, CMC (C92-96) were ordained transitional deacons for their community on Oct. 6 in Carthage, Mo.

Gilbert Vallejo (LCC98-99) was ordained priest Aug. 30 in Nuevo
Rosita, Mexico, for the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

Fr. Christopher L. Cordes (C89-91), pastor, Immaculate Conception parish, Montgomery City, is also canonical pastor and sacramental minister of St. Patrick parish, Jonesburg, and co-director of the Disciples in Mission Program.

Fr. Kevin Ratterman (C85-89) appointed administrator of St. Francis Xavier parish, Enid, Okla.

Grand Island
Fr. Hubert J. Spanel (C51-55;T55-59) appointed parochial administrator of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Ord, Neb.

Varia
Vic Brulez (T68-72) remains involved in Child Advocacy (CASA) and also with the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization. He also works with support groups for pre- and post-transplant patients.

Philip Pagano (H41-42;C42-43) recently updated Tower Topics on events in his life. He retired as an engineer in 1986, but remains active in his parish community in St. Charles, Miss., where he has taught religion to high school students for 32 years and more recently has been involved with the RCIA program.

Fr. M. Price Oswalt (C86-90) has been broadcasting the Sunday Eucharist on radio in Oklahoma City and for several months now has had his own talk show, “This is Our Faith,” which features
discussion on Church teachings.

Dr. Roderick Hindery (H47-49; C49-54;T54-57) has a new Web site on “Propaganda vs. Critical Thought” http://www.public.asu.edu/~sheilrod. He recently added a new paper to the site which explores the signs of terrorist propaganda enacted in the name of religions and other causes.
