Board of Regents 2007

Six new members were welcomed at the October 12-13 meeting of the Board of Regents: Rev. Dennis Lyle, Rector of Mundelein Seminary, Rev. Burke Masters, Vocation Director for the Diocese of Joliet, Dr. Stephen Minnis, President of Benedictine College, Deacon Ron and Mrs. Tammy Myers, Diaconate Program Coordinators for the Diocese of Des Moines (and alumni of CSC's diaconate formation program), and Rev. Shawn Ratigan (not present at meeting), President of CSC's Alumni Association.

Three members submitted their resignations and were thanked for their service to the Board and to Conception Seminary College: Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, former Bishop of Knoxville - now Archbishop of Louisville, Bishop Arthur Tafoya of the Diocese of Pueblo, and Mrs. Rebecca Summers, Director of Communications for the Diocese of Kansas City - St. Joseph.

As always the discussions were lively, and seminary administration listens carefully to what this group has to say and highly value their input. As a governing board, their thoughts, suggestions, and ideas give direction and focus to the seminary.
