Larry Kramer joins Development Office staff

Dr. Larry Kramer, who for the past four years has served as a campaign and strategic planning consultant for Conception Abbey, has been invited by Abbot Gregory Polan to continue his service as coordinator of campaigns and events.

In this part-time position, Kramer will represent the Abbey and Conception Seminary College on the planning committees of two annual events: the Support Our Seminarians Dinner-Auction, which is sponsored by Conception, the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, and the Priest Appreciation Day Golf Classic, a joint effort between Conception and the Serra Clubs of Kansas City and St. Joseph. Kramer will also continue to advise the Abbot and his staff on campaign activities and strategic planning.

"Working in this environment of spirituality, hospitality and service for the past four years has been an extremely rewarding experience for me," Kramer said. "I have often said that I feel I have been on a four-year retreat. I am honored to have been invited by Abbot Gregory to continue to serve Conception Abbey."

Before Kramer came to Conception to spearhead the "A Living Tradition" capital campaign, he served for 15 years as president of Avila University in Kansas City, Mo.

Kramer is a former member of the Conception Seminary College Board of Regents.
