Golf classic raises more than $30,000 for seminary

This year's Conception Seminary College/ Serra Priest Appreciation Golf Classic found a new home at the Grand Summit Golf and Country Club in Kansas City, Mo. Also new to the event was a Texas Hold 'Em card tournament and a golf demonstration from the club pro. The Classic drew a record 156 golfers and raised more than $30,000 dollars for Conception Seminary College.

The winning foursome, with a score of 14 under par, was Father Karl Barmann, Randy Reynolds, Mark Hittner and Greg Dale.

Second place went to the foursome of Joe Neenan, Bob Neenan, Mike Storey and John Ludwikoski who finished 13 under.

Longest Drives prizes went to Joe Bukaty and Tom Naudet. Longest putts were turned in by Claude Sasso and Jeff Rinne.

Co-adjutor Bishop Robert Finn took his cuts as well.

A highlight of the day, as always, was the evening barbecue at the home of tournament founders Bob and Carol Miller.
