FATHER SAMUEL RUSSELL, dean of students, made his annual journey to Lithuania, where by Vatican appointment, he is assisting two communities of Benedictine sisters, in Vilnius and Kaunas, as they restore their communities after decades under Communist rule. Father Samuel was joined by seminarians Mike Kilker, Jimmy Perkins and Nate Phillips, who assisted with youth camps and taught English.

FATHER DAN MERZ, seminary chaplain and professor, published a book review of Il celebrante, fedele o presidente: Dinamiche personali e partecipazione ("The celebrant - faithful or presider: personal dynamics and participation") by Giuseppe Sovernigo for the July issue of Worship (Vol. 78, No. 4, pp. 366-367).

An article by FATHER DUANE REINERT, director of Counseling Services, "Attitudes toward Death and Funeral Practices of the Volga Germans" (pp. 143-157), appeared in Unsere Leute: The Volga Germans of West Central Kansas, edited by William D. Keel, and published by the Volga German Society of Hays, Kan., and the Max Kade Center for German-American Studies at the University of Kansas.

FATHER BILL WHELAN, seminary spiritual director, spent the summer at St. Cecilia parish in his home Archdiocese of Omaha, where he assisted with pastoral duties while attending the Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University.
