As secretary and treasurer of the National Association of College Seminaries, Father Benedict Neenan, CSC president-rector, attended the organization’s Board of Directors meeting June 7-9, 2002, at St. Joseph Seminary in Chicago.

Joseph H. Reinert, father of Father Duane Reinert, OFM Cap., associate professor of psychology and director of Counseling Services, died April 30 in Beloit, Kan. He was 79.

Father Duane wrote an article for the Spring 2002 issue of Health & Spirituality Connection, the quarterly newsletter of the International Center for the Integration of Health & Spirituality. The article was to be titled, “Spirituality in the Treatment of Addictions.” The overall theme of the Health & Spirituality Connection newsletter for the spring issue is “Spirituality and Addictions.” The theme was chosen because April is National Alcohol Awareness Month. The International Center for the Integration of Health & Spirituality (formerly known as the National Institute for Healthcare Research) was founded to encourage research, education, and training in areas of the interface between medicine and spirituality.
