Website will recommend
spiritual reading

As a service to both alumni and oblates, Father Xavier Nacke, spiritual director of Conception Seminary College, is providing a list of recommend spiritual reading on the abbey and seminary websites. The list will include recommendations from various monks and faculty members of the seminary. Father Xavier also wants the site to be interactive. He welcomes recommendations from alumni and oblates.

“These are books which I and others have found helpful in our spiritual life,” Father Xavier said. “They are not heavyweight in the sense that they are long and theoretical. They assume that one is not reading to have read, but in order to reflect upon and pray over, so as to apply to one’s life and come to a better appreciation of the wonderful working of God’s grace in one’s life.”

The site can be accessed by going to www.conceptionabbey.org and clicking on the oblate link. Or it can be reached through the alumni link on the seminary website, www.conception.edu.
