In April Father Adam also preached retreats for the Knights of Columbus of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and for the Wichita Serra Club. May 3-7 he preached to the staff, volunteers and patrons of ‘A Simple House of Sts. Francis and Alphonsus’ in Washington DC. This is a ministry founded by frequent Abbey retreatant, Clark Massey which serves a neighborhood afflicted by violence, drugs, and prostitution, and is the home to the district’s most single-parent families and the most children. The Abbey is a regular donor to this ministry and Father Adam serves on its Board of Directors. See the Web site: www.asimplehouse.org.

Father Adam will preach a retreat June 10-12 at St Benedict’s Retreat Center in Schuyler, Neb., for the Des Moines Diaconate Formation Community.
