Student officers elected

Conception Seminary College students have elected officers for their student government, the Community Council.

Trevor Wedman, a junior from the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, is president and sophomore Michael Vanek of the Archdiocese of Omaha was elected vice president. Jake Clayton, a freshman from the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, was named Community Council treasurer, and Gary Kastl, a junior from the Diocese of Tulsa, was named secretary. The officers will serve through the Fall 2002 semester.

Class representatives, which were elected at the beginning of the academic year and will serve through the Spring 2002 semester, are Stewart Parker (Jefferson City), representing pre-theologians; Anthony Dickerson (Knoxville), seniors; Dan Ekberg (Cheyenne), juniors; Greg Dolan (Cheyenne), sophomores; Chris Ahlstrom (Marmion Abbey), freshmen; and Manuel Ceron (Salt Lake City), Language, Culture and Church program.

The Community Council includes committees governing various aspects of student life, including vocations, entertainment, social outreach, athletics, fine arts and the yearbook and student newspaper.
