Rev. Alfred Brosius (T46-50) died Feb. 26, in Dubuque, Iowa.

Rev. Bede John Butler, OSB, died June 28 at Holy Cross Abbey in Canon City, Colo. (Fr. Bede taught English at Conception Seminary during the 1960s.)

James Castle (H43-44, C44-45) died June 18.

Rev. Joseph D. Hughes (90-91) died July 13 in Savannah, Mo. Ordained in 1996, he was serving as pastor of St. Rose of Lima parish in Savannah.

Msgr. Edward Kelly (C48-52) died June 12 in Des Moines.

Rev. Franklin Lackamp (C52-54, T54-58) died June 26 in Grain Valley, Mo.

Eugene F. Mainelli (C48-49) died May 4 in Maywood, Ill.

John R. Russell, father of the Rev. Samuel Russell, O.S.B. (C72-73), died March 31 in Florida and was buried at Conception Abbey.

Francisco Montoya-Fraga (LCC98-99) July 22 in Salina, Kan.

Jeffrey R. Allen (97-98) made his profession of simple perpetual vows as a member of the California Province of the Society of Jesus.

David Good (88-90) and his wife Kathleen have a new son, Jacob Thomas Good.

Jeff Kripal (81-85) was appointed Visiting Associate Professor of the History of Religion at Harvard Divinity School for the coming academic year.

Msgr. Michael J. Wilbers (C64-68, T68-71), vicar general of the diocese of Jefferson City and pastor of Our Lady of the Lake parish, Lake Ozark, Mo. – was named “monsignor” this spring.
