Brazilian monks visit Conception Abbey

Tuesday, July 3, a group of Benedictine monks from Brazil came to visit Conception Abbey.  Their monastery was originally founded by monks from St. Benedict Abbey in Atchison, Ks. of the American-Cassinese congregation of Benedictines.  The Brazilian monks left their homeland in order to attend the 150th Anniversary of the founding of their motherhouse but managed to swing by to pray and visit with the monks of Conception before heading down to Kansas City to take in a Royals game.
