Meals Times: Please, come to meals at the time they start. There is an outdoor patio area between St. Raphael Hall and St. Joseph dining hall you can use as well. Clear your trays as you finish eating. You are welcome to remain visiting in either dining area, we just ask that you bus your trays so that the dish-washing staff can remain on schedule.

Day Visitors – Meals: The Abbey Kitchen provides a meal service of three meals a day. Cost for meals: lunch is $8 per person, dinner and the Sunday meal after mass is $10 per person. Children under 8 years eat for free.

Prayer with the Monastic Community: You are most welcome to join the monks during their community prayer times in the Basilica. During services in the Basilica – Please, turn off all cell phones, beepers and no photos or video taping. These are sacred times for both the community and you to pray.

Come to prayers five minutes before they start so that the Guestmaster or assigned staff can assist you with any instructions.  If you are running late, use the front doors of the Basilica.  Please, do not enter through any of the side entrances once the services have started.

If you choose to chant with the monastic choir, please do so very quietly and listen carefully to the pace of the monks. Do not speed up the prayers, spoken or chanted. This will help set a tone of oneness in worship together. Liturgy books are available in the north aisle bookrack near the front pews and main entry to the Basilica. Page numbers for prayers are located on the black bulletin board facing the guest pews.
